A gag order was placed on Tuesday by the judge supervising the criminal case against former President Donald Trump in New York. The order limits Trump's ability to speak about the parties to the future trial, which centers on a 2016 "hush money" payment to an adult film star.   In response to a request in February by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, whose office cited a number of statements Trump had made in relation to several cases, Judge Juan Merchan issued the injunction restricting Trump's public remarks. .
